Although I have been deeply involved with the web for many years, my background is not exactly typical for someone in my field!
I was born in Denmark, and joined the Danish Army Special Forces in 1974. After honorable discharge in 1980, I began a long and successful career as a professional bodyguard.
During my 25 years as a professional bodyguard, I worked in virtually every country in Europe. I have a solid background in traditional martial arts and over 20 years of experience in Krav Maga (a self-defense technique developed by the Israeli military).
Before emigrating to the United States in 1994, I earned a degree in Graphic Design while living in England. In addition to my work as a bodyguard, I was also a 10 year consultant for Microsoft, specializing in User Interface Design.
I have worked exclusively with Internet-based technology since 1995 using tools such as classic ASP, HTML, Javascript, jQuery, CSS and various databases. These days, I work exclusively with WordPress. I take great pride in transforming my client’s ideas and specifications into fully standard-compliant cross-browser compatible solutions.
My extensive background in martial arts has actually helped me in my web practice, instilling in me a deep sense of discipline and an unwavering focus. As a bodyguard, I always had to keep my client’s best interests in sharp focus. As a developer of internet based technology, my objective is the same: what is in the best interest of my client?
Interests:
I own a advanced Training Center (B2 Gym), where I function as the Lead Instructor for Krav Maga, TRX and Russian Kettlebell training. The Training Center is also offering general body-weight training, weight management and nutritional guidance.
