Design

Following design, coding is the third stage in the development process. This is the part where the page designs are cut up and than stitched back together using HTML and CSS in order to work as an interactive interface in your web browser.

HyperText Markup Language (HTML) is the predominant markup language for web pages. It provides a means to describe the structure of text-based information in a document by denoting certain text as links, headings, paragraphs, lists, etc – and to supplement that text with interactive forms, embedded images, and other objects.

Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) is a styling language used to describe the presentation (that is, the look and formatting) of a document written in a markup language such as HTML.

Even though most professional WordPress templates are coded for the WordPress platform itself, the code would need to be adjusted to meet your specific requirements.

If the design is custom created for you then you own the rights to the final design used on your website (when you have paid for the service in full). If a template is used, you own the right to use the template according to the terms of the template creators.

If you are concerned with the cost of a custom designed website, you may want to select my Basic design plan (starting at $1,000) and we will find a way to maximize its structure.

Design is the third stage in my development process, and it includes creating an appealing looking image for a user friendly and functional interface of your website.

The design is broken into a Home Page and a Content Page (also called “Inner Page”) design. The content page may have several layout variations depending on the type of content used on it. The pages that hold merits for different layout are forms, galleries, blogs, forums, shopping cart pages and any other page where the content has to be specially formatted.

I can create a new design with very similar look and feel. I are not allowed to create an exact copy due to copyright laws.

People like to say that you have an average of 8 seconds to impress. That is true but can also be misleading because you can have a beautiful picture and it will be impressive in a single second but have a completely wrong impact. So let’s clarify and say, you have eight seconds to impress AND show everything you have to offer AND make them think you are the right place to get it. This is much harder to do because there are so many others that offer the same thing. One of the factors that will play to your advantage is an appealing design with a layout that enables you to feature all you have to offer and provides a clear way to get it. So, how important is design? Very, but not in the way you might have thought. I still claim, the days of pretty looking websites that don’t do anything for us are over. It is time to think in practical terms – think online business.

There are number of ways I can minimize the uncertainty. One of them is providing you with a portfolio of my prior designs to see which style you prefer. I can also let you look at the existing live websites and evaluate them for their pros and cons and use them as base for your design. Finally, I can use an existing design template as is, or modify it to make it custom for your particular usage.

I will be happy to look at the design and discuss it with you before saying yes or no. Many times it is easy to make modifications while sometimes creating a new design is easier and faster than making modifications.

I will be happy to look at the design and discuss it with you before saying yes or no. The design may be perfectly good and I can use it. At the same time, the design may have issues that I can point out and you may change your mind about using it.
